Komet Airbrake built with n.o.s. (new, old stock) 1960's Ohmite / Mallory resistors and a n.o.s Ohmite (Made in Chicago, U.S.A. ) "bed room " level control / rheostat ( <not like the cheaper quality resistors made outside the U.S. the past 25 years) 16 or 8 Ohm. Bypass setting and 5 steps of attenuation, the fifth step of attenuation allows for you to engage the rheostat - which will allow you to drop the Airbrake down to full compression and distortion mode, i.e. "bedroom" sound level. Please note: finding a quality, (U.S. made) rheostat is very difficult - not to mention are now super expensive. Still - all hand made, drill pressed, assembled and painted, since 1999 !
